Meeting Safely – last updated 9/17/21

The FPTA and CTD staff recognize that these are not normal times (STILL!). But, we continue to move forward in person so we can be /together21 with safety as our primary consideration.

Masks Encouraged

To keep all participants safe, we are encouraging everyone to wear masks at indoor events. If you utilize any Conference sponsored transportation services, such as to the golf event or across the street to the Ocean Center, you will be required to wear a mask, per CDC guidelines. Additionally, the Ocean Center and Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront may have mask requirements.

Physical Distancing

We recognize that participants may have varying levels of comfort with direct contact. We encourage attendees to take any additional steps that will make them feel comfortable and safe. As a way to show your preference, we will have colored buttons available to indicate your comfort level. Meeting rooms will be set to prevent overcrowding. Floor decals indicating 6’ distance will be used in appropriate locations.

Registration

We strongly recommend advanced registration this year to avoid overcrowding in the registration area. On-site registration options may be limited.

On-site registration desks will have a plexiglass barrier between registration staff and attendees. Stanchions for traffic flow and floor decals will indicate 6’ distance for registration lines.

The tote bag given out to all registered attendees will contain hand sanitizer and a mask. 

Cleaning & Disinfecting

Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the event. High-touch areas will be cleaned and sanitized regularly.

Food & Beverage

Best practices for safe food-handling will be followed at all food functions. Participants will be required to wear masks while not actively eating or drinking. Food will be served directly to you by Hotel/Ocean Center staff or “Grab and Go” style to reduce contact.

Ocean Center Convention Center and Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort

Seating for breakouts and general session rooms will allow for social distancing. Most breakout times have also been reduced to limit exposure. The EXPO will be located in a large venue to allow for spacing with increased aisle widths and higher side panels between exhibits.

The Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort serves as our host hotel and offers the Hilton CleanStay protocal.
